An Explanation of the Chat Rooms
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you first enter the chat program you automatically come to the MSWorld Main Chat Room. But there are many other rooms. What are they for? We want all members to feel welcome and comfortable at MSWorld. Here is an overview of our many rooms.
Social Rooms- These rooms are for groups of people who might want to discuss something off-topic from whatever is going on in the main room. These are not private rooms and all are welcome,
Nationality Rooms (Canada/UK)- These rooms are available to people from those nations who might have topics and issues relevant to their countries that they want to discuss amongst themselves. But, again, these are open rooms which all are welcome to use.
Chapter Rooms- We are the chat host for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Some of those chapters have set up chats for their members. Some of these rooms have chats scheduled at particular times. The Chat Schedule lists those times.
The Guest Speaker Room- this room is set aside for special chats with guests invited by MSWorld to inform and/or entertain members at scheduled times. All chatters are welcome to Guest Speaker Chats.
Rooms with Lock Icons- There are a few rooms which require passwords. Our Teen Room does as well. This is for the protection of the young people using that space. Members wishing to join chats in those rooms must contact the room's Host for permission. If you are a teen or the parent of one there is a link in our Kidz Korner area for that contact. There will eventually be a Parents Chat which will require a password for participation ad a room is set aside for that chat. There are also a Staff Training Room and a Staff Meeting Room which are available only to MSWorld volunteer staff and trainees.
