What a beautiful and loving face,

this dog is surely no disgrace...



Never really owned one for any length of time,

we had one for a while, wasn't really mine...



Was my daughter's pooch,

"skipper" was his name...



If only I had to do it,

all over again...



I would have taken more time,

be more understanding...



Our life was in a turmoil then,

he really should have had his own pen...



But we gave him another home,

with some neighbors...



He now would never be alone,

the neighbors had kids too...



Their household,

was much like a zoo...



I have changed considerably from then,

not as "up tight" and when considering things...



I take more time now,

to try and seek out what joy they may bring...



I think getting older,

and having lived...



Makes things easier,

with less to forgive...
