Yoga for MS and Related Conditions
by Mobility Limited
DVD is $29.95 available through Mobility Limited (see Web site link below.)
This 48-minute video or DVD is easy to follow and pleasant to watch. First, I watched the video to see what I was going to be able to do myself to test the theory of the exercise.
I was pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of the video, and the clear voice and instructions by Shoosh Crotzer, the Executive Director of Mobility Limited and the person who demonstrates the exercises.
In particular, I liked how she demonstrated with a man how to help someone do these exercises, if they could not perform them completely by themselves. Ms. Crotzer is petite but obviously strong, so helping a man larger than she shows it can be done.
She demonstrates how to lift and move the person so they could get the benefit of the exercises more so than if they tried to do them themselves.

Fortunately, I can still get on the floor and do exercises. Ms. Crotzer tells us you simply to stop if you need to rest. She says something like, that's what the pause button is for. There are exercises to do while sitting in a chair and standing that do not require you do get on the floor. But she demonstrates how to get up off the floor safely.
I did these exercises faithfully for three days. I could not complete the program the first day, and completed most of it the second day.
By the third day I was able to finish the exercises and was feeling my strength and posture improving and my midsection feeling stronger! I had found my exercise video. (My only deterrent is my dogs, who always lick my face and want to play whenever I get on the floor!)
Unfortunately, late in December, I fell and broke my right wrist. (Not while doing the exercises! Totally unrelated.) I eventually had surgery. My exercise program with the DVD by Ms. Crotzer will be delayed another month or so until my wrist is completely healed.
Anyone who wants to increase their strength and endurance, this video is for you.
And besides, if you have pets who love it when you are on the floor, I recommend you press pause and play! That's exercise, too!
Personally, I'm excited to get back into doing the exercises and feeling stronger. Check out their website at www.mobilityltd.com
