"In Memory of Winda"
Died: February 2, 1990

Winda was a 'naughty' cucumber and tomato eating doggie, although not a vegetarian, as she loved meat, too!

The first day, I noticed her love for cucumbers, was when I was looking for one to make a salad. "Hmmmmm, I thought I bought a cucumber", I murmured to myself. Then I saw Winda, wagging her tail, looking very guilty, with an expression that said: "I didn't do a thing, HONEST". I only could start laughing and cuddling her.

Winda was cross bred between an Afghanian greyhound and a Alsatian dog. She was found abandoned, and when we adopted her from the animal rescue society, she was around 5 months old.

Later, just by coincidence, we met the owners of her "parent dogs". They originally had given our Winda to another family but never heard back from them. So, we were very lucky to have Winda safe and happy with us.

We still miss you, and your sweet face, Winda. Ciska and Paul
