The Bohio in Me

"Bohio means a hut or a shack.
I grew up in a bohio back in my country– 
and it kind of looks like the one in the picture–
back when I was a child.  
I miss it so much! 
I'm from a beautiful Caribbean Island
named Dominican Republic,
where we dance a lot of Meringue
and drink Guayaveri,  
watching the sun go down..."
