    MRI vs. Tecfidera

Hey everyone! For the past year, I've not taken any MS drug. (I had back surgery in March, so my neuro wanted me to take a break to recover.) I've had Betaseron, Novantrone, Tysabri, and Rituxan. Well, my MRI shows improvement. Dr. J said this is the best MRI I've ever had--interesting since I've not had any MS DMD for a year. Well, after the wonderful news, I was presented with Tecfidera.

My question for you all is would you start Tecfidera if your MRI was showing improvement with no DMD?

Wow I have been off Meds for 2 years & MRI was better also

I have been on avonex for 9 years & I had to come off because I was developing a strange rash on my neck that got worse after each shot. So I stopped avonex in June 2011 & had an MRI in April 2013 which showed a lesion that was pretty large had gotten smaller its still there but my Dr. said it did get smaller, he still wants me to be on a DMD, I had started TEC for 1 month but it was really bad I had to stop. now my Neuro wants me to re start but instead of 2 pills a day 1 every other day for a month. So far I have only taken 3, 120mg. TEC. this past week, I am so confused I am starting to feel that maybe I just should not be on any DMD, but its scary because my Dr. said its like driving without a seat belt. I just keep praying I will make the right choice. GOD BLESS US ALL++++

Love to you MyLukas! I agree and agree and agree! Driving w/o a seatbelt? Well, I grew up in the backseat of Dad and Mom's car traveling a little bit of here and there! Long trips with NO SEATBELT! My good friend took aubagio and had a deadly allergic reaction to it. I agree---some MS patients do better w/o a DMD! YOUR POST HAS STRENGTHENED ME!!!

If I were you, I think I would give Tec a try and see how my body handled it.
        Best of luck to you!
