Tysabri and arm pain

Hey, I just received my second dose of Tysabri last week and am curious as to whether anyone else has arm or leg pain associated with the drug. Over the last month or so, I have started to experience severe pain in my upper legs and upper arms (moreso my arms). It isn't in all extremities at once and actually varies from one limb to the next. The pain is a deep pain, almost as if the bone itself is aching and is so severe at times it is nauseating. I have read that Tysabri can cause arm or leg pain in up to 16% of users but I can't find any documentation of what type of pain is usually experienced. Since it is a new symptom, I'm thinking it's the Tysabri, but maybe it's just another symptom of the MS itself. If anyone else has any insight to share it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You comment "like its in the bone" got my attention.

I have pain deep deep in my upper legs all the time. Most of the time I can just ignore it. Went to the doctor years ago for it, he couldn't figure it out. Just deep achy feeling that sometimes you just have to call it pain. It hurts! Doesn't affect my walking. I just live with it. Been that way for about 8 years. I have only been on Tysabri for 3 so it is either just some weird thing or MS.

Motrin has never helped. Sitting in a hot tub before bedtime helps, but you have to be very careful of the that too. I can't stay nearly as long as I'd like. About 20 minutes is tops. Even a hot bath can make me sick.

Sorry you have to go though this.

Well...since you were having the pain before you started Tysabri, it must be one of those weird MS things. I'm sorry you have to go thru the pain too but I must admit to being glad that I'm not crazy and that it is something real. I also don't get any relief from Motrin or other NSAIDS. Don't have a hot tub but maybe I can try a short hot bath. Thanks for your comments!
