I am a 38 year old Mom to 4 kids. Daughter 17, Son's 13, 6 and 4 years of age. I have been married for 18 year old. 2 years ago, after we moved back home to our hometown. My arms were all pins and needles and the move I moved and used them the more they hurt. Then it went away, then back back 3 months later, then went away. Then I was super dizzy and at the time had a stabbing pain at the base of my neck at the same time. Would fall down due to being so dizzy, went to ER one time, and was told Nothing was wrong, or they didn't know what was going on. Then my arms started hurting again, and then down my back and into my right leg.. hurt all over so started seeing a doctor. When I went in, I wasn't having any pain, and she said that when I was having the pain (flare up is what I called it ) to come back in and they would run blood test's for Lups and fibro and RA. All that came back neg. I started looking up stuff on my own. Some of the stuff matched Firbo, but not all of it.. My Aunt has MS, so she was having a bad week, so I looked up stuff on MS. WHOOOOO Look everything I have fits... ok that wasn't a happy WHOOOO it was well at least I "may" know what is going on with my body, and it's not all in my head. I have had eye trouble that has come and gone, but didn't have ins at the time and it went away so didn't think much about it. Grey area and couldn't see out of my right all in full. Really bad headaches, migraines Dizzy spells where I fell and hit a wall with my face, the stabbing pain at the base of my neck with then being super dizzy then bad headache trouble remembered names and forgetting stuff Now trouble walking numb legs and back, pain all over comes and goes Super tired all the time Mood swings IBS restless legs and more As soon as I said could it be MS to my doctor last week, she was like yea! Let's get you in to the Neurologists (sp) So now I wait for them to call me and tell me when I can come in, then I am sure I will have to wait for the MRI and all the other testing. My flare up was almost all gone, but when I get up and start doing housework or even just a trip to the store my legs start going numb and hurting, and I get sooo very tired. I am already looking into a cane to help with walking around the house, IF my arms are not killing me.. and a wheelchair while out at the store Not real happy about any of it, but I will be happy to at least know what is going on with my body.I was a Vet Tech for 10 years before I was able to just stay home and be with the kids, I did home daycare for a little bit. Don't have any pets any more had to put my search and rescue training dog down less than a year ago. My daughter had a cat and we had to put him down too My husband does have a cat but she is 15 and that's old for a cat. Hoping to get another dog soon, might help with my moodSo guess that's me for now... So it's a wait game to get into the doc, praying they call me this week, if not I am calling them on Friday at 10am and asking! I don't want to just sit back and wait! |

Hello MtnHigh , You are not alone. You would think 4 kids would be enough without MS. Best wishes to you.
