Good Afternoon!
I have a neighbor who has a great powered wheel chair that has 2 dead batteries and she does not have the finances to replace them so she is using a manual wheel chair. Does anyone know of any organization that may be able to help her with the cost of replacing the batteries?? I appreciate any information you all may have. Thank you Mary-Ellen ![]() |

Depending on the type of Insurance they have it might cover the cost of new batteries, just have to call the manufacturer of the power chair and find out. I have a Hoveround and my batteries went bad on me and my Insurance covered everything. If that don't work out I would check with friends that might be mechanics and see if they can get the batteries through their employer. To pay out of pocket for the batteries can be very expensive if you go through the manufacturer but I know that Innerstate Batteries makes batteries for nearly everything and I'm sure the price would be way more affordable through them.
