Yes, Baclofen can make you sleepy.

As you adjust to Baclofen you may find you won't feel so tired. Unfortunately, there are very few medications used for MS that does not cause you to feel sleepy

When I first started taking it, it did make me drowsy. Now, not so much. I got used to it.

When I first started taking Baclofen it made me very drowsy. After about 2 weeks my body adjusted it and the the feeling passed. Stick with it the drug does help and the dowsiness will pass.

I have been on 60mg of baclofen for about 3 months. I am still tired. Actually taking caffeine tablets to stay awake at work. Nuvigil made me sick.

I take 40 mg of baclofen - I haven't really noticed it making me sleepy - I think even if it does you will adjust to it after a few weeks. Good luck. No matter what - imo the baclofen is worth it. I LOVE it, I can sit crosslegged again and move much better. This girl loves baclofen!

I agree with Sasha, Baclofen doesn't really effect me in the way of making me tired either. I feel more relaxed but not really tired.

Just a question though....Is Baclofen supposed to handle pain too or is it just for spasticity?

Spasticity can cause pain. If your pain is spasticity related then, yes, it will help.

I may be different but I have found Baclofen to be helpful for pain that has not been related to spasticity.

Thank you Snoopy! I have noticed that some of the pain is gone but I am also on an extremely low dose 10mg 3x per day. My doc said she will increase the dose as needed. I'm thinking she may need to increase the dose a bit, but I'm going to give it a month to get used to it and see how I feel by my next appointment. She also told me that if I needed something for symptoms that I do not need to wait until my next appt. to get help...lol...I can actually call her and she'll get me something. I waited 2 months until my appt to get the Baclofen because I didn't know I could just call to get something being that she was a specialist....haha....oh well, now I know

I noticed that baclofen exaggerated my fatigue alot and it was already pretty bad so I had to stop taking it, not that it really did a whole lot for me anyways..

                        Baclofen

I didn't have a fatigue problem with Baclofen but couldn't find the correct dosage as I was either too stiff or too loose.
