I take Skelaxin when I go through crampy/spasmy phases. It works well, though not perfectly. The trade-off is that it doesn't make me drowsy and I can take it during the day and get good cramp relief. In comparison, tizanidine/Zanaflex didn't work at all to prevent or stop the killer leg cramps. Plus it put me right to sleep 45 minutes after taking it, so I couldn't have used it during the day even if it worked.
Skelaxin: 2 for 2; Zanaflex 0 for 2. Definitely worth trying Skelaxin.
