Gabapentin (neurontin) weird breath?!

I take 1800 mgs of gabapentin a day for nerve pain, but it makes my breath smell weird...my husband comments on it and I bet other people notice too

I have beautiful teeth, no gum problems and I brush/floss religiously...but I have bizarre medication breath! I don't know what to do, chewing gum makes my TN flare. Anyone experience similar? Suggestions?

KateA2, could it be dryness? Neurontin makes my mouth very dry. You could try something like Biotene spray for dry mouth.

Thank you for the suggestion! I don't notice it being dry, but I picked up some biotene wash for bedtime. DH says it's not "bad" per say, but metallic-medicinal and just plain weird...I am also going to try herbal spearmint tea too.
