    Not alone

Well, I'm just glad to hear that's "normal" for MS, anyway. And I'm not alone. At lease I know I'm not crazy! Thanks for posting!

These are great! Expecially the businessman, maybe that was a Freudian slip

I do this A LOT! It's frustrating but my husband and I do get a laugh out of it most of the time.

I cannot post what was actually said but when I was taking dinner out of the oven recently, I was impressed that I had timed the stuff in the oven perfectly with the stuff on the stove. I meant to say "Bleeping Fabulous". Instead of fabulous, I said a very derogitory word that I honestly don't know if I've ever said before in my life. My husband was shocked and then we both laughed until our stomachs hurt!

        Bloopers

I love that kind of stuff! Great way to start my day. Thanks to all who shared their verbal flubs. Thanks especially to MrsBones. I will never again eat (arguably) my favorite food without her in mind. Too bad I can't mention her pb in my Work Smarter Not Harder/Ease discussion

With this thread having three "pages" I read the first and the third (probably missed some great stuff on the second page). Anyway, I just KNEW that I had to contribute. It's one of the few MS sx I have that is "entertaining" to my family and myself!

It began with mixing up words in the most unique ways: for the life of me, I couldn't say "glider rocker" after I first got one a few years ago. It came out as "rider glocker!" Then, I caught myself saying, "pun sorch" one day, instead of sun porch (I now just say sunroom)!

I still do it, occasionally. It has become quite entertaining for my family and friends. I am certain that I have other stories of mixing up words and/or saying the wrong words, but it's 5:22 in the morning and I'm really tired.

The other weird thing, is that I also tend to write or type words with letters out of order or COMPLETELY backwards! That one bugs me (though sometimes really looks funny) because language arts has always been my strong suit; part of why I became a teacher. A dyslexic person, from what I understand, doesn't see that the letters are in the wrong order. But I automatically see that, although I meant to write or type it correctly, it came out mixed up or backwards!

Oh well, this particular side effect makes life MUCH more interesting and, at least, doesn't involve pain or immobility.

            I just called a motorcycle a "motorbycle"

While walking on a collage campus tour with my daughter I told everyone my "my blisters have feet"

My family has been getting a good laugh at me this week.
I do that last one, as well! It's quite funny when it happens, so we all get a good laugh out of it! I like the "motorbycle" one; I do that with words, as well. If you're gonna have MS, you ought to at least have ONE sx that can make you laugh!

              'fill-in-the-blank conversation'

So, I often forget what I'm trying to say. A couple of years ago, I was in the bike shop and forgot the word I needed several times, and the owner kindly supplied the word. I half-joked/half-apologized for it, and she said, 'That's OK. We're having a fill-in-the-blank conversation.' I loved that and have used it ever since.

I do this as well. Sometimes when typing I use letters that make no sense at all (I usually type super fast and accurate but now the connection is not always there between my brain and my fingers and it's so strange what my mind tells my fingers to type!) and sometimes when writing I put the letters in the wrong place. I used to be in high demand for my business letter writing skills in my former life ... I am thankful I stopped that kind of work before the symptoms hit.

Not officially diagnosed due to non-MS-specific spots on MRIs, but the neurologists all agree it's MS.
Frustrated. January 2019: finally saw an MS specialist worth seeing. Maybe we'll get to the bottom of this.
