infections down there

OK!!! This is it.. I have not had one of these since I was in my 20's.. really a yeast infection.. Ms, then TN, then bumps and bruises with an everyday shot.. I have bumps on top of cellulite... like it needs any help..Hahahahaha..
That is funny.. guess I better get a.pill because monistate is a waste of money.. I do remember that.

Thanks for listening! That felt good and I cracked my self up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've been on copaxone for about 75 days. I've had 2 yeast infections, had my period become irregular and some hair loss!! YIKES!

Vaginitis is also a side effect of Tysabri (I have just discovered, suffering from a RAGING infection now for two weeks). I don't know how my primary is going to deal with it long term (my neuro was ... less than helpful in this specific area, and said, "yes, you should call your primary physician"), but i can sure tell you, if THIS is going to be a monthly occurence with Tysabri, .... that makes it far less desirable. Previously, I had had NO side effects at all... I liked that much better than this...

Can you use the over the counter yeast infection creams?

They have all brands and methods. Some are one day, some are 3, 7, or 10 day.

I take a lot of antibiotics, for UTIs, so I've had to take them occasionally.

Thanks for the info. I had a raging uti last summer followed by a yeast infection like none I have ever had. It still irritates me a little from time to time and I am having a hard time kicking it.

I take acidophilus, azo yeast pills, use a pantyliner that is supposed to keep you drier and a bought a bunch of dresses this summer to breath better down there. I saw a doctor recently and am using a steroid nystatin cream he prescribed. I am on Copaxone and that may be part of the problem.

Any suggestions on how best to deal with this? Copaxone seems to be working better than Avonex for me. However, the yeast infection is at times very irritating.

Reduced sugar intake

Can I just remark that if I consume less sugar for several days in a row, I have less issues of this sort. Methings sugar feeds the bug.

I have taken monistate, difluctain and metrodinazole. (probably miss spelled all the above) finally clear but it took all three.. I have some metrodinazole left so I take dose every once in a while. Seems to have become a PMS.. I must produce more yeast around that time.

The "metro" gel is usually used to treat BV (bacterial) infections and not yeast infections. You might have had both, or it turned into a BV infection.

That happens to me alot of times - I end up with both a yeast and BV infection at the same time, or one right after the other. The symptoms are so similar that I have a difficult time determining which it is without a doctor visit. I did purchase some of the yeast testing sticks in case I need to treat after hours / on weekend I can tell which med to use.

Hope it clears up for you (they are awful !) quickly and maybe you can find something to prevent them, such as a diet change recommended in an earlier post.

Greatest home made remedy I've found!!!
Take a clove of garlic and peel and wash it, thread some yarn through it (for easy removal) insert it into vagina as far in as possible. Do this at bedtime because you will be able to taste it, theres some weird connection between your hoo ha and mouth lol.

If you catch the infection early 1 night will work if its middle stage infection slice a few marks in clove of garlic so more juice gets out it will still work in 1 night maybe 2. If its really bad cut it in half or just put a few slices and do it for more days....... the more juice that comes out it will be a lil uncomfortable (kinda burn but not to bad) garlic will kill bad yeast.

Also you can douche with plain yogurt for 2-3 days it kills bad yeast and leaaves the good yeast. Both work better than over the conter meds and save you tons of money, just google them
