    Protandim

Has anyone heard of this? They had a story on ABC about it.

The person telling me about it was saying it helps people with MS. I'm not too sure, but maybe. Or is it just a "power of suggestion" thing. They feel better because someone said they would?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Do you mean Prokarin?

Protandim isn't a medication. It's yet another antioxidant nutritional supplement. Folks who are lacking sufficient antioxidants in their diets can probably get a nutritional benefit. But there comes a point when more isn't better. There's nothing special about the product that benefits people with MS that antioxidants from other sources can't. And, really, is there anyone selling a nutritional product who doesn't say it helps people MS?

        Agreed!

Plus, Protandim is yet another multi-level (pyramid) marketing scheme.

I didn't even bother to google it....that's how much interest I have in another "product" for MS.

Thank You Everyone! I told the lady thanks for the info and I'd talk to MY neurologist about it (don't know that I would have), and wouldn't you know, this seller called me with someone else on the line to "answer" my questions! I will NOT be taking protandim. If it's not broken, don't fix it. I am FINE on my Rebif!

              Thanks again!

Greetings, I am new here so bear with me. I was introduced to protandim about 6 months ago. It may be placebo effect but whatever it is I will stay with now for something is woratking. It is often difficult to gauge with ms for it the nature of the disease. I had been experiencing dysphasia an my moods were all over the place. My rx meds were becoming quite plentiful. I have not stopped my medications although I have cut back significantly. My mood an emotions were still a problem, I am trying other things for that. I was not in a good place mentally an my neurologist, bless him, encouraged me to take charge of my health. Our medical system is very poor, an where I live I am 12 hours drive from my specialist.

So lol, often times many of us don't have the priviledge of medical help. This may not be the same for everyone, whether the ms decided to bury its ugly head for a bit, or the vitamins worked, irregardless I am here an did not have the energy to do this. I am finding ms a very individual problem, we are all different what workS for one does not work for another. I was dx 6 years ago with rr, I do not sell protandim nor do I push on others, it has been a life choice. Thanks for listening
