      Hi Katie, and welcome.

      One of our best vacations a few years ago was your city.
      Just a beautiful town loaded with history.
      We even visited with the famous gentleman who made cast iron gates, who died recently. What a thrill.

            Hi I live in Fort Mill and came originally from Michigan. I belonged to a great support group there and wish I could find one in this area.

            Yes the heat does bother me but I rather have this weather than the cold winters of the mid west.

                  Hi Katie,
                  Sorry to meet you here but welcome to the board. I loved visiting Charleston. Used to have a cap from the Yorktowne but my wife washed it and ruined it. I also fell in love with Sullivan Island ( there are palm trees there ).
                  Do your best to minimize your heat exposure. I wish you well. Good luck

                      Ever hear of Monks Corner?

                      I lived there for a few years.

                      I had a boss that lived in Summerville, and stayed there a few months before getting a place in Monks Corner (Conifer Hall). I used to shop in Goose Creek and most of my doctors were in North Charleston. Had cancer surgery at Trident hosp, N. Charleston, then spent an afternoon in a cat scanner at Roper one day, had an oncologist in Mt Pleasant (hated the OLD narrow wild-mouse bridge, I hear is now history) and numerous specialist at the univ Medical center.

                      I worked in Charleston mostly and later for a while in No Charleston.

                      2 special rules;

                      -2- Never drive downtown during a full moon at high tide.
