I finally got to see my neurologist today and after the exam she told me that she is ordering new MRIs with a higher resolution and including my spine in this round as well.
She told me from the physical exam that she highly suspects MS but she has to rule out anything else. I go in tomorrow am for the VEP and EEG.
I am so relieved that she believes me and sees the problem. (I think losing my balance when she asked me to stand up might have helped, well, that and not being able to stand up straight with my eyes closed) After years of Drs not listening to me, I think I'm in a little bit of shock that I now have a professional working to help me.
