lack of emotion, result of lesion?

I seldom get emotional, cry, have sympathy. Is this thevresult of a lesion?

It could be from lesions or one big lesion in your frontal lobe. That is where emotion is held. It sounds more like you have this problem more than any other. You should ask your neurologist if you have any frontal lobe lesions, or where your lesions are that might be causing this. You also may not have a lesion causing it at all, you may just be depressed.

There can be a another spot in your brain that emits emotional changes from the brainstem causing pseudobulbar affect. This one doesn't sound like you in your short description in that it produces symptoms of unusual outbursts of emotions. IE: Laughing at a funeral, crying in the middle of work for no reason.

Talk with your doc about medications to help with your emotions. I hope things will get better for you.

Take care and let us know how things go.
