I am a 35 yr/old woman from CT. I haven't been dx'ed yet, but I am seeing a MS specialist.... I have the temp diagnosis of Transverse Myelitis because I am waiting for another round of MRI's in march '13.
In Sept '12 i woke up and noticed i had pins n' needles shoot down my spine every time I looked down (moving my head). I thought I had just slept wrong and crinked my neck, but two weeks later when I mentioned it to my husband I had decided that I was insane. He convinced me to seek medical advice
Things moved quickly and still are, but the dx is elusive. My Neuro set up a consult at the MS center and the people are wonderful there. But I'm still waiting... The doctor said to me "if it looks like a duck, quack's like a duck, and hangs around with other ducks... its probably a duck... your really a duck" (meaning he thinks i have MS but we are waiting for the next round of MRI's to confirm.
I am just really coming to terms with this whole situation and finally decided to reach out to the online support community. Thank you for being here.
