    Anyone in Lincoln??

I recently moved to Lincoln ,NE and was wondering
    a) does anyone know a good neurologist out here
    b) does anyone want to be "support" group out here

I used to live in Lincoln but I do not anymore. I have lots of friends who work at the hospitals, St Elizabeth's, BryanLGH, so I will ask around and see who is recommended.

      Yes I do.

I live in Beatrice, and before I was diagnosed I went to a neurology clinic in Lincoln. I won't say who, but I was not happy with how they handled getting back to me regarding test results etc... I did not go back, and to make a long story short, I now go to one in Omaha.

(In retrospect, I found a lot of people who felt and were treated the same as me about the place in Lincoln...)

I could not be happier!! The place is called Neurology and the Dr is Dr Ronald Cooper. I can't sasy enough good about this place... The Dr actually calls you back on the phone when you have a question!!! They come to the waiting room and meet you for your appt, and they walk you back to the desk when you're finished...

Unfortunately my Neuro there felt I needed more than just being on Rebif, and felt I need more intense neuro care, so he actually referred me to the MS clinic at the University Medical Center in Omaha. I respect that the Dr Cooper realized he may not be able to care for me, and sent me to someone who could... That says a lot about his character as a Dr I have heard that this clinic is highly regarded and I can see why.

Jut Google "Neurology", and Dr Ronald Cooper... You will find them. The clinic is easy to get into and out of since it is on the west side of Omaha...

      Hope this helps you out!!!

I see that name and recognize that you are going to the MS clinic at University of Nebraska Med Center... That is the same place I now go... Dr McLaughlin (my Dr) also works in the MS clinic there. About 1 month wait time is the best I've been able to do for scheduling and appt, but it's certain worth it...

I'm glad you were able to get in at such a great facility with a quality doctor, and I'm glad you're happy!!

This is all good to know. I live in MO now but grew up in Omaha and my dad currently lives right near the med center. If I ever have to go back there I'll know where to go.

Not officially diagnosed due to non-MS-specific spots on MRIs, but the neurologists all agree it's MS.
Frustrated. January 2019: finally saw an MS specialist worth seeing. Maybe we'll get to the bottom of this.
            EDSS of 5.5, sometimes 6.0
