Hey Guys!
Its been a while since I've posted here. After 2.5 years on my paperwork being processed I am now a disabled Vet (officially). Sadly, I was given the bare minimum for everything. Which means more fighting to get all of this changed. I got 30% for MS, 10% for my ankle and 0% of PTSD, but they did at least rate the PTSD as service connected. I plan to fight to get all of this increased.
I had a wonderful bout of ON during Walk MS this year. Then a fun stay at the hospital because of steroid induced psychosis. I got to see a specialist at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute for MS. He was nice and helped educate me on a few things.
I am currently off of all of my meds. I just had surgery to have my tubes untied and we are currently trying for another baby. Even though I'm about 2 or 3 semesters away from finishing my degree, I am taking a leave of absence. I just don't have the desire to finish college and really want to focus on my family right now.
I have realized that I was giving college the best of me and giving my family what was left over (not much). I am now supporting my hubby while he focuses on his military career and homeschooling my kidlets. I think having the disability rating finally come through really gave me the motivation to be honest. I really just don't want to work. Thankfully, I don't have to and my compensation can give us a bit of cushion to take the pressure off of hubby a bit.
Anyway, I really hope the rest of you Heroes is enjoying the rest of 2013!
