    Insurance and 40 Copaxone

Has anybody else had their insurance not approve the 40 mg of Copaxone but approves the 20 mg? My doctor changed my prescription to the 3 x a week dosage instead of the daily dosage but my insurance said they won't cover it. Grrrr..... So I have to continue doing the daily injections. I don't get it.

    Did your doctor

appeal the insurance company's decision? DId the insurance company give a rason for their denial? 20mg may go generic real soon which means it will cost less (and will cost the insurance company less).

They told me it is because the insurance plan my employer purchased does not offer the premium level of prescriptions.

        Hi

You have probably already done this, but be sure to contact Shared Solutions ( 1-800-887-8100). They might be of some assistance.

          Just wondering if

you were able to get the 40mg copaxone or if you're still using the every day 20 mg.
My neuro recently submitted a 40mg prescription for me - haven't heard back yet.
