I think it helps with stretching and relaxation -- both which are good for MS.
I think daily is probably ideal but once or twice a week is better than nothing. Not sure what level of mobility you have but there are MS and mobility adapted yoga DVDs available as well.
The physical therapist I see at the hearing and balance center said yoga is great for MS and so is Tai Chi. Also, after my initial presentation of temporary paralyzation and subsequent PT I was encouraged to do yoga then too.
I do yoga daily. I took a class this past spring semester called strength and stress program which taught yoga, in part. It helped my balance, flexibility and taught me moves for stress management. I also saw weight loss with it. Love it.
