    Avonex shot....terrible night

    I postponed my Avonex shot this weekend to Sat. night. I didn't drink all the water I was supposed to and I did not premedicate with 500mg of alleve. I got a little cocky since I haven't had any real sx the passt month I have been on it.
    I got severe chills, headache, fever. Fever broke and then I was so hot I had to take a cool shower. Tossed and turned all night- couldn't get comfortable, general body aches.
    Anyway, I'll NEVER do that again. I will always drink my water adn take my naproxen, lesson learned.

          Ughhhhh, you poor kid, and I hate the flu so much I actually cry for my mother. Yeah, I'm 42 years old. Having flu-like symptoms would kill me, oh man.
          Dx: 2/3/12. 6-8 lesions right medulla/cervical spine. GLATIRAMER ACETATE 40 mg 1/19, medical marijuana 1/18. Modafinil 7/18, Women's multivitamin, Caltrate + D3, Iron, Vitamin C, Super B Complex, Probiotics, Magnesium, Biotin.

              Even with premedication, and hydration, I always woke up feverish in the middle of the night when taking Avonex. Sometimes, I could not move due to weak muscles.

              Still, I took it for 10+years'!

              But there are a lot of people who tolerate Aonex better than I.
