Baclofen pill vs pump and feel worse after steroids

    Anyone with advice?

I don't take steroids (allergic to solumedrol)...so I have no point of reference for that.

As far as pump versus oral baclofen, it all depends. The maximum recommended dose or oral baclofen is 80 mg. Are you on oral baclofen, and if so, how much. does it relieve your spasticity?

I have a pump, and it is much more effective than the oral was, but it is not without risks and problems, some of those being surgery, risk of infection, risk of catheter failure resulting in more surgery.

Definitely not for everyone, but it is an effective way to control spasticity that is not being handled by oral meds.

      pump trial

I just did a baclofen pump trial last Fri. The Dr. and PT both thought the trial was a success. I guess I just wasn't quite ready for the "dead" feeling in my legs. I know I got a big dose and the dose with the pump would be much less. So I'd like to hear from anyone else that has one and their experiences with it.
      Thanks!
