    Switching from Rebif to Tysabri

My neuro and I are in agreement that the Rebif is not working for me. Started with yearly flares and now every 7ish months and huge changes physically. I am ready to change and hopeful that Tysabri will be a good thing for me.

I did not get a straight answer today and wanted to know from your experience. Was there a period of time that you were told to stop one medication, such as Rebif, before moving onto Tysabri?

    Thanks for the input!

I went from Rebif to Tysabri and did not need a washout period. I flunked Rebif pretty badly, it gave me bone marrow failure that took two months to resolve. Ty has been good to me. I have had no new lesions, but have had more disability. I am now classified as SPMS now though so that may have more to do with my disability than the Ty can handle.

Good luck with Ty most of us just love it. Oh, bring a big cup of tea or coffee the first infusion to ward off a headache post infusion.
