I went to see the MS specialist today and all went well. We discussed medication and determined I would start on Copaxone 40 (the one you take 3 times a week). I did ask about my heart issues with the racing if it was connected and he said no. I saw the cardiologist today as well and he is going to do a stress test and a echo next week. I also asked him if he thought the heart issues could be related and he said it would be rare.

The MS Specialist had me do a bunch of blood work and a urinalysis so waiting to hear the results from that. I really liked both doctors I saw today, I am hoping for a positive relationship with both, very informative and caring.

I will send more information when it comes in.

Thank you for the prayers, I really need them and appreciate them very much. I wrote a post about my appts, they went well I think and I am feeling a little better, just still concerned with my heart rate and such. Thank you for the support, this has been a tough journey.

Hi Jgons6 welcome!! As someone said everyone's experiences are just a little bit different from everyone else's. But we've all been at the "beginning" just like you. Some have gotten worse, some have gotten "better", and some have stayed the same. That's the thing about MS- it's unpredictable! Read everything you can but take it all with a grain of salt. And keep coming back here because this is a great bunch of people! I haven't been here long but these folks really care. Good luck!

Jgons6: I have the same tachycardia/bradycarda problem caused by a lesion in my brainstem. My cardiologist is going to place a pacemaker to set my heart at a steady rate so there is no up and down. I was passing out all of the time. I broke my nose, my front two teeth. It was bad. You need a referral to a cardiologist.

                  Good luck

                    Lisa,

Thank you for the reply, I saw the cardiologist today. He is going to do a stress test and a echo, my ekg of course was normal. How do you handle the heart issues right now? I hope all goes well with your pacemaker. It is pretty scary when the heart gets involved.

                      Hi Jgons6,

I am new here too and just wanted to offer you some support and encouragement

It sounds like you found some good MS Specialists to work with. I just know that finding my current MS Specialist made all the difference in the world for me. I get scared too...we all do. I had a really bad day yesterday and my mind went to the worst case scenario once again. But now I feel much better today and my optimism is back!

Keep us update on thing and most importantly, stay strong

                      Beth

jgons6 thank you for your reply . I really like this website due to thefact we all are in the same boat and we are all here to help each other through things as much as we can.
The one thing i did learn is that ms is not easy to diagnose and it comes with alot of different symptoms that are confusing whether they are ms or not.
Of course it dont help when i didnt have the right doctors opinion at first and the direction i needed from a doctor.
I will keep you in my prayers and have a great day.
The same goes for all the rest of you HAVE A GREAT DAY!
