    Gosh. I wonder if Teva's boss gets that much. Maybe that's why Teva can't afford to provide free medecine.

    Here is an article about how much they charge us in the US and how much the same drug is in the UK. Lets face it we are cash cows.

    The drugs cost at an average of about $34,000 per year in United State and the same drugs cost around $13,000 in United Kingdom for a year.

      Thank God that there is a cash cow, if not the drugs would never get developed.

      And not just drugs it is the US market that has driven a lot of medical equipment.

      If not for the US market the world would be using CAT scan and Xrays instead of having many different MRI machine brands to choose from.

      If the US health system goes state run, progression in health care ends.

        Also because we pay a higher cost in the US, we can be feel safer the drug have been FDA approved for safety and be confident that there is the proper medication in those syringes and not tap water.

          It's true that drugs get developed because of the huge earnings potential, but paying more doesn't make them safer.
