    Methylprednisolone 4mg tablet ??

I was unable to have my PCP give me a Solumedral treatment because it was an IV therapy. I didn't realize he would be unable to prescribe this. He instead apologized and prescribed me a 4mg tablet pack dose of Methylprednisolone.

Has anyone tried this, or heard of this being an answer to a MS relapse?
Would anyone be willing to share their experiences with this drug?

Thanks in advance for your response.

The Medrol Pack has really never helped me. It was given to me to calm down some aggregating symptoms but not a full blown flare.

Make sure you take all the meds and eat plenty of food with each dose.

If you are really in a bad flare or experiencing ON then a phone call to your Neuro might be advisable.

Good Luck...hope you are feeling better.

After reading about it last night, I'm thinking the dose is too small and not worth the risks. If it was the 48mg dose, I'd be much more willing to go for it.

Sadly, the Neuro is unavailable for another two weeks. Ahh the pleasures of being newly diagnosed and freshly insured.

Thank you Katie. It is very much appreciated!
