eye exams

I have gotten a message from the ins. co. and my eye doc to come in for another appt. I had the pre-gilenya baseline testing and another exam a few months later. I am now 2+ years on G. Are other folks getting another eye exam to check for the possible eye issues?

I think I'm having more exams than others on Gilenya. I've only been on it since February. I had the baseline eye exam before starting, and then exams at 3 and 6 months. My ophthalmologist wants to do another at 9 months, and if that doesn't show any changes, do another 6 months later. Not sure if that's standard or not. I've read that usually the edema shows up in the first 3-6 months.
