Recommendation for good neuro in Texas

I live in Texas and desperate to find a Neuro that can assist me or see me here in the near future. I have looked but so sick of seeing Doctor after Doctor with my illnesses. I am afraid to book another appointment with a Doctor without having good references on him/her. I really need help, I am ready for a GOOD Doctor. One that will conduct the testing and treat accordingly. I am on so many meds, I can open a pharmacy it seems.

I am sure you will get this message, since we join the message boards for help and this one is specific to us and we will surely still have MS for a while, but anyone that has a reference to a Good Neuro that specializes in MS, could just share, I would greatly be appreciative.

I have major Cog Fog and my brain is not working when it comes to talking or typing out a message, so please excuse anything that seems a little, or a lot, jumbled.
Thanks to anyone here that can help me. This is one of my greatest issues is finding a good Neuro that can help me with this. I am a mess.

    Hi Elizabeth and welcome!

I edited your post and started a new thread for you in hopes it would be more visible and someone can come along with some suggestions~ Hope you don't mind

Having a good neuro is crucial, and getting first hand recommendations from others is sometimes the best!

One thing you might also do is to check out your local MS Society and ask there. You can call 1-800-344-4867 or go to http://www.nationalmssociety.org/Chapters and type in your zip code.

Good luck to you and again, welcome

What part of Texas are you in? There is the MS Clinic at UT Southwestern in Dallas.

Also, Dr. Ana Tseng at Dallas Presby is a great Neuro. She is my Neuro but she also sends me to the MS Clinic for certain tests. She is with Neurology Consultants of Dallas.

I also know of a number of good neurologists, but please let us know where in Texas you are.

After all, if you have a newborn in Texarkana and start driving across the State, the baby will be in the 3rd grade before you hit El Paso.

I know what you're saying, Marco .. haha ! Elizabeth, you need and deserve to find an MS specialist. Don't settle for a general neurologist. I am in Philadelphia, PA and I saw an MS specialist at the U of Pa but it took me 6 years to find an MS specialist near my home in the suburbs. A doctor who has an MS subspecialty can be kind of tough to find near your neighborhood. I hope you can find one. Good luck
