Symptoms at Six Flags
Hello,
Well I am yet to be diagnosed, seeing a great neurologist periodically, and have symptoms daily. No evidence on the MRI still, 3 years later. We are all just kind of waiting for the lesions to show up. Anyway though, I am a very happy person, and a teenager in high school. So last summer I had gone to Six Flags with my family and a friend, with some symptoms but overall a nice day.. Today, I thought, would hopefully be the same. I once again brought a friend (who doesn't know about my situation) and had my family there too. First, the temperature was higher than it was supposed to be, and I have bad heat intolerance. This worsened all of my symptoms! Getting off rides, it took a lot of energy to not have my knees buckle. My cognitive issues were out of control all day, and it was undoubtedly noticeable. My parents didn't get the hint, and continued to ask me questions and get irritable about it.. They would be totally different if they realized I was having cognitive problems though. My tremors were bad today in addition, and holding a water bottle even caused small ripples. Trying to walk that much around the park was so difficult because my knees and legs were weak.. It was exceptionally hard to hide it from my friend also. Then there was a firework show back near my house, so my parents wanted me to go after we got back! I told them it was a long day, and their response was: "It was a long day for all of us" every single time. I just feel like my symptoms kind of slapped me in the face today so to speak.. And I just really want to talk to people who understand. I apologize for such a long post! Best wishes to all of you and feel free to share experiences of your own ![]() |
