Exclamation ALJ hearing?

I am scheduled to have a hearing with alj in August, I have an attorney iv'e only spoken to him on the phone, never met in person. Is this how it usually works? Any paperwork he needs me to fill out he sends to me and i send it back. The receptionist said i would be meeting him on the day of court about a half hour before to talk. Also wondering what is going to happen, do they question me or does attorney talk for me? Nervous!

A good attorney will do most , if not all the talking. You pay him so you don't have to be nervous. Mine came quick and easy but I still wish I would gotten a attorney to decrease the stress. You will be fine.

Thomas, did you have to go to the hearing, and if so when did you find out if you were approved?

I did not have to go to a hearing. SSA made then canceled dr tests as I was having them done at a MS clinic. Mine was easy because of my age , 58. Your attorney should talk to you before the hearing and then for you during the hearing. I'm not a lawer , but I believe you find out quick of your approval status. Rich Feingold can answer your questions. Write down your 3 (or more) , most worriesome questions and post it here. I admire Rich Feingold for helping MSer's out.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Thomas, and I am sorry that I took so long to get back to you here. Congratulations, to the extent that I can congratulate you for being disabled, of course, but I am glad that you will now be receiving the help that you need.

Rich
