I want to feel pretty again.

Does anyone ever just feel as though they are not pretty anymore?

I don't have a low self-esteem but I just don't feel as though I am appealing anymore. I feel as though I'm broken merchandise.

I'm going to go to the salon and have a hair make-over. Do something completely different. Maybe that will make me feel better and not so blah.

I wish my DH would understand that a woman sometimes needs to feel pretty and that spending a little money here and there to accomplish that doesn't hurt a thing.

I think every woman experiences that feeling, MS or not. You are not alone! There are days I feel exactly the same but I do what you are doing...get my hair done, buy a new outfit, or just do my makeup up all nice. I feel so much better.

Somtimes red lipstick and highlights just makes me feel like a lady

Don't worry inmoni5, you will never be broken merchandise! Men usually never understand these things about women (or why they cost so much ), this is why we are so confusing to them

My DH is such a caveman that he's gonna FLIP when he finds out how much my hair cost. lol. 2 different colors of low-lights plus a whole new cut. Probably going to be about $150-200 before I'm done. Of course that includes some new make-up to go with the new hair color Just gotta wait until I can get into the salon.

He's used to me only getting my hair done every 3-6 months. And I color my own hair with box color from walmart. The last time I did that....I fried my hair....no more box color for meee!!!!

It's time that I start putting an effort into looking nice again. I've been in this darn MS slump for long enough.

I totally understand! I think we all feel that way sometimes. Guys don't really "get" it. They feel grubby and they take a shower, shave and feel like themselves again.

Good for you!!!!

I've been feeling yucky myself- the topamax I'm on for my hand tremor has been making me lose weight (yay for now), but I'm sorely in need of clothes (I have about three outfits I can wear now without feeling like frump-girl).

On top of that, it is killing my skin and making my hair fall out. Blech! I have masses of hair, so for now it is not a worry, but I sure don't feel pretty with nasty skin and hair.

OMG, I concur on the box dye destroying the hair! Man, I just did it to save money before I was even dxd, now my hair is pissed!

My BF just looks at me in horror when I tell him what it costs when I go to the salon. I then freak him out and say "well I guess I could just shave it all off, while I am at it, I should probably get a breast reduction". LOL. He is quiet then.

UGH!! I am 33 broke as a joke. 3 kids and a not so dear DH. Add MS to the bunch and life cannot get much worse than this.

See sad part about it is my DH doesn't care what I look like. My hair is severly graying, my WHOLE wardrobe is frumpy. My face is broke out, pizza like. Can't even wear make-up anymore w/o a horrific break-out up to 2 wks after.

Boobs....HA...non existant. I am a MESS. grrrr. lol.

Whatever!
