Do I or don't I have any lesions? In my MRI report, how can you have...

a small 5 mm focus of increased signal within the deep right frontal white matter that was written in the "findings" section of the report but in the "impressions" section it says specifically no active myelin plaques identified? I'm confused.

The key word appears to be "active." Active means a lesion in which inflammation is currently present. You have at least the one lesion you mentioned, but it apparently isn't actively inflamed. Hence the report can say that there are no active myelin plaques identified. From what you reported, the report doesn't say "no plaques," it says "no active plaques."

To determine that, you would have to have had gadolinium contrast. If you didn't have contrast, that's a different conversation.
