Interferon/rebif and fibroids
I live in Morocco where medicines, knowledge and experience is a bit limited so I'm looking to see if anyone has experience with interferons fueling fibroid/menstruation problems.
I started taking Rebif 3 years ago. Previous to the start of Rebif I'd never had problems with my cycle but right from the first month of Rebif my period changed, becoming very light. I also had a mild increase in PMS. But the most surprising was the start of very quick growing, large fibroids. I've already had to have surgery once and I'm already on the verge of needing it again. (I'm in my early thirties...)
I've asked both the gyno and neurologist if the Rebif could be playing part in this and they both said they don't know. If anyone has experience or knowledge about this it would be greatly appreciated.
