Im unsure and have some questions

Hi I'm new to this, but I am wondering if it's possible that ms can start with decreased appetite, dilated pupils, muscle twitches, cramps, and atrophy, i also have a below normal blood pressure and am very Moody, I am defiantly experiencing a lot of depression I'm house bound all the time I have absolutely no energy or motivation and this is not like me I enjoy exercise and I can't even do that due to my heart beating way to fast so I'm exercise intolerant, I'm just looking for some insight maybe somebody has experienced Somthings like this.. I'm 24 years old and have been through a lot already in my life I beat a rare form of lymphoma a year and a half ago called burkitts lymphoma and I've been cleared. And now 3 months ago these symptoms started, all my doctors including oncologist are sure it's not a recurrence of the cancer and I agree this feeling is different and I'd be dead already if it was cancer. This just a really sad situation.

    MS symptoms

MS presents with so many different symptoms it's impossible to say if the ones you are experiencing could be MS or not. Are you able to see a neurologist to get an MRI or spinal tap to confirm? I hope you get answers to your questions and I wish you the best of luck.

Hello audilover and welcome to MSWorld. One of the hardest parts of this disease is not knowing. You have all these things going on that are new to your body and you don't know what's going on. When you said all your doctors I'm assuming you've seen your PCP. Did you ask any of them for a referral to a Neurologist?

That would be your next step, seeing a Neurologist. He/She will run the appropriate tests to help figure out what's going on. As Graylyn said MS presents with so many different symptoms and we are all different. One may present with numbness and one may present with pain. No two MS'ers are alike.

So as I and Graylyn said I would seek the advice of Neurologist. Best of luck getting a DX can be mind numbing. No pun intended.

Congratulations audilover, I am so very happy to hear you are a Cancer survivor

I believe the first thing to consider and discuss with your Drs. is the possibility that the drugs/medications used to combat the cancer might be causing your symptoms. Unfortunately, you needed some pretty strong medications to fight the cancer and they can come with long term problems.

Have you had a work up by your Primary Care Physician(PCP)? Many conditions can cause symptoms that are similar to those seen in MS and part of the diagnostic criteria is to rule out those other conditions. Your PCP can rule in/out some of those.

Take care and best wishes on your diagnostic journey

          WELCOME TO MS WORLD AUDILOVER!!!
it sounds like you have set up a good team of doctors, but I agree with all of the above, you need to see a neurologist now.

thankyou all for the welcomes and replies

I don't have a computer or keyboard I'm using a really crappy phone so I don't know how to reply to you all individually it's really glitchy and slow lol.. Anyways yes I have talked to my pcp I mentioned a neurologist months ago he said my nervous system wasn't a problem and thought I should see a internal specialist so he referred me to one, who now has done a whole bloodwork screening and all seems good I've just got a lumbar puncture recently and tomorrow I go over those results so I'm hoping my internalist will send me to a neurologist even if the spinal fluid is clear, I hate being looked at like I'm crazy if it wasn't for me contacting my oncologist my pcp and internalist wouldn't have continued investigating they would've kept telling me I have anxiety and it's all in my head smh, I appreciate the replies it feels good being heard, I will post back on here with my results tomorrow Thankyou and I apologize for my poor punctuation.

Audilover if your Internist doesn't refer you to a Neurologist insist on it. You have to stand up for yourself. Don't take know for an answer! Be persistent!

Good Luck to you and keep us posted.

I am not a doctor, more's the pity.
And I'm not a psychologist, and I shouldn't presume to know you based on one post.

You have survived cancer and that it means you are brave.

I'm with Snoopy - I'd be looking at those chemo drugs. It's only been a few months, and you probably still feel horrendous.

Whether it is MS or not, depression is not all in your head. It is as real a medical condition as a broken leg. And much more common.

                  Good luck.
