I REALLY didn't want to have a spinal tap ::shudder:: but I was finally convinced.
    pffft
    Piece of cake
Honestly it was the one diagnostic tool that really convinced me that I do have MS. Silly me didn't want to believe 3 MRIs, my Neuro, or the MS Specialist. I excel at denial

I did a bit of research first and followed the advice I discovered.
Drink extra water the day or two before - it'll help your body have just a bit more fluid, making it easier to do the tap and the spinal fluid will flow out quicker.
Lay down flat after for several hours. Yes, flat, not propped up. Boring, maybe, but that really will help that tiny puncture heal completely and without leakage.
Also, if you do get a nasty headache, call the place you had the procedure right away! They can fix it!!
(but hey, that's a small chance anyway)

    Knowing is important.
Whatever you choose, I wish you well.
