Silverscript Medicare Plan D coverage for Copaxone 40 mg.

Thinking of changing my plan D coverage from Humana to Silverscript Choice Medicare Plan D coverage for my Copaxone 40 mg. The scary part is that Silverscript will not review or approve a prior authorization request until I am an enrollee in their plan. Does anyone here currently use Silverscript for their Copaxone 40 mg. coverage? Did you have issues obtaining prior authorization?

It is so frustrating that they cannot give us that information ahead of time. Its scary to move from one plan to another and not know. Good luck.

Did you ask for

What is on their formulary for MS drugs?
They should at least tell you that. I do Prior Authorizations at work (fill out paperwork-look up forms & info for MD offices) & the insurance should be able to tell you their formulary .

Copaxone 40 is on their formulary, and as long as you have a relapsing form of MS, you meet their criteria.
