    Supplements for dizziness

Has anyone tried any of the OTC supplements for motion sickness to help with their dizziness? I know MS dizzies are probably different from motion sickness type dizzies, but I have used Dramamine before ( per my pharmacist ). It helped, but almost caused more dizziness.

Are these products good for ANY kind of dizziness or just motion sickness? Seems to me dizzy is dizzy, except when it's extreme. A lot of the time my meds are what causes this off balance, woozy feeling so I wondered if something like Motioneaze would do any good.

I haven't tried that. This link http://www.healthline.com/health/mul...ellYourDoctor6 says that over-the-counter (OTC) anti-motion sickness medications may be all you need, but that's probably what you tried before.

Thanks Mama... that's pretty much what I expected too. I bought some drops that you put behind your ears but have not needed to use them yet. Supposed to be safe for kids and non drowsy. Sounds good.

        My Doctors Say No

I have had constant dizziness for more than 3 years; all day, every day. I have asked my doctors (MS Specialists) over and over again if there was ANYTHING I could take to make it better. They have always said no. I was once told to try Valium but it didn't help either. If someone has found something that works I would be sooo grateful! The dizziness affects my balance, of course. So that is the worst of my symptoms in my opinion.

Marti -- Another option you could try is to request that your doc refer you to a physical therapist with experience in vestibular therapy. That helped me, a lot, once, when I had dizziness that was caused by an MS flare. It was extreme (actually so much so, that it disabled me more than my mobility issues did), and it had lasted for 3-4 weeks at that disabling rate, prior to PT. It really helped. She gave me exercises that triggered the dizziness for only a tolerable time, in order to re-train my brain to tolerate those movements.
