I am just wondering if any of you are on Tysabri AND Low-Dose Naltresone (LDN)?
Comments on that?

I read a long time ago maybe on this site, that you could not take LDN while on Tysabri .
I know people for whom both were prescribed by their neurologist. Joesph Wouk talks on youtube about his experience taking LDN and Tysabri prescribed by his prominent MS specialist. Very interesting video!
I think that LDN just makes (some) people feel better overall. People who have difficulty in walking have reported being able to walk with this (and this alone). From what I've heard about it, basically at the low dose, it causes your body to produce extra endorphins. (Which are our body's feel good chemicals...they are known to improve mood, but also a surge in endorphins reduces the body's response to pain, and can also make you less anxious).
That is my understanding of LDN at any rate. I haven't looked into it nearly as much as I want to. It seems like some of the proponents of LDN like it because it does not have any of the serious and scary potential side effects that a lot of the MS meds have. The problem as 'I" see it is that LDN hasn't been studied in relationship to MS. One of the main concerns in treating MS is making sure that new brain lesions do not develop. While people may be "feeling" better physically, this med is not really proven to do anything in term of managing the brain lesions. In my case, I am on Tysabri (2 infusions down). I want to be on Tysabri, since it is thought to manage the brain lesions (in terms of the development of new lesions and also progression of current ones). However, I like the idea of adding the LDN, particularly if it helps with mood/anxiety.
