Can Old Symptoms Cycle?

Is it possible for old symptoms to cycle for a while during a new exacerbation? Say you had a new attack such as double vision, but then a random old symptom (one you had years ago) like foot numbness returns for a day or so followed by hand tingles then back to foot numbness for a bit?

Does the inflammation in the CNS and the brain's response to it make old symptoms go a bit haywire?

Yep, and eventually I've found they come back and stay for good. No more cycling.
