    Lordy, Lordy, Lordy 45 today

    Not that this is bad, just OMG I am now kind of oldish. The egg-timer has been flipped. It is so bizarre how quickly time passes. I can remember being a little blonde 12 year-old sent to Boarding School and truly thinking it would never end.
    Yeah, no, right.
    Nice birthday, flowers, gourmet lunch, general kindness to the wheelie walker (me).
    Here's hoping we make 50!

          Happy birthday Think! To answer your question, I turn 50 on May 9, almost 10 years after diagnosis! Hope you get some nice "pressies" and more importantly... cake!!!

            Happy Birthday my Aussie Friend. You deserve an exceptionally wonderful day.

            I just turned 52 a couple months ago. And yes, the egg timer has turned.

            As I age, I find I really don't give 2 flying figs what other people say now and I am a lot more accepting of things. Sort of nice to age actually.

                  Could we stop acting like 45 - 55 is old...I would say you sound like bunch of 90 year old's but they don't talk like their old. Life would just be getting good if we were healthy...but we're not.
                  I'm 53, look like I'm 43 and feel like I'm 93. The last thing I consider myself is old.

                        Same here on boarding school memories only younger, and put me down for being the 40ish ditz who thought it would last forever. I'm such a sad sap. You on the other hand....

                        Enjoy your flowers, gourmet lunch, and maybe a surprise or 2 on your special day.

                          Happy Birthday friend! YOU are NOT old! Wait until we all hit our sixties and think back about how young we really were. Don't sweat the age thing...its better than the alternative. Hoping you get a nice dinner out and some thoughtful gifts.
