Possible Symptoms? Eye Blurriness in One Eye?

Sevenyears ago, I had a few days where I had this excruciating, squeezing feeling inmy ribs/abdomen. I thought it was gas. It never happened again. Six years ago,I started noticing that when I looked down really fast, I had a shockingfeeling all the way down to my feet. A couple of years ago, I started noticingmy left eye goes blurry towards the end of the school year in stressful times (I'm a teacher),typically at the end of the day. I知 a marathon runner, and during my last boutof training, I had a couple of episodes where I got spasms in my ribs thatcaused me to think I was having a heart attack. Are these symptoms of MS? I had an ECHO and all turned out wonderful with my heart.

Iwent to a neuro about six years ago when I first noticed the shock feeling. He said I had lesions on my brain, butthey weren稚 in the typical MS pattern. I知 terrified that I might have MS, andI知 scared to go back to the doctor. My eye blurriness really has me stressedout. Does any of this sound familiar to you?

While optic neuritis (you can look that up) is often an indicator of MS diagnosis, I suggest you see an eye doctor before jumping to conclusions.

I personally feel that with there being hundreds of mimics that many can point to MS then we all come to the conclusion that it must be MS cause that's typically the worse case scenario. I remember being scared of this disease but once being told I do have it my life has changed but I am still living and surviving it's not a death sentence.

I have what is called L'Hermittes that's caused from my MS and I don't have to put my head slowly or in any way it just does it and it can be very painful. This is caused not from the lesions in my brain but from the lesion on my spinal cord.

For the eye blurriness I experience random double vision, blurriness, eye pain and floaters. I know that MS can cause eye problems but I don't know that it's what is causing mine.

If your unsure of what is going on talk to you Dr. and hopefully he/she can help you to get to the bottom of your issues. Hang in there and remember that if this is caused from MS to take in the positive of what your read here and let the negative go.

I suggest you look for an MS specialist, if you already have one it might be time for a new one. Also, as someone suggested you need to see an MD eye doctor as they can look at your optic disc and send you for an MRI.

        Good luck

It all sounds very familiar to me. Here's more info on L'Hermittes Sign: http://www.webmd.com/multiple-sclero...t-is-how-treat

Since you are now about 8 to 10 years? into your symptoms, I would strongly suggest getting over your fear of getting back to the doctor! The sooner you figure this out, the sooner a treatment plan can be in place, for whatever it is.
