Ever felt too sick to see a doctor?

Had a standard appointment this morning. Rang and cancelled. I just could not summon the energy or will to have a shower, get dressed, walk twenty yards to the car, etc etc etc. You know the drill.

I actually feel pretty awful at present, but there's not much she can do about it.

    Sigh.

I can't tell you how many appointments I've cancelled because I felt awful when the date came or couldn't get a ride because of weather conditions or some other reasons. I know they keep track of those cancellations and they like to harass you over them, but it is what it is.

There's no way to know from day to day how you're going to feel. I have several "specialists" to cover so many problems. Wishing for the old days when one good doctor took care of everything at once!

Some days I just feel like I'm actually dying. I believe some of that falls under the heading of panic attacks.

First, Hope You Feel Better Soon!

Yes, Thankfully My DH Pushes Me To Go. Just Get Up And Shower And Dress Is Enough. Then Wait And Wait. Watch People Walk All Over The Place, Happy For Them But Aggravates Me. Go Home Too Tired For Anything Else.

      Good Luck!

I hope, T, that you also find someone who pushes you to keep those appointments, and helps you to do that, when you need assistance. Although I understand not having the energy or the will to do that, you probably know that's when you really need the doctor visit the most.

        Best wishes, T.

Cancelled and rescheduled my share of doc and infusion appointments when I just wasn't going to make it after bathing, shampooing, you know the drill.

I've learned to attend to personal hygiene the day before appointments, hair, makeup, dressing, and travel the day of the appointment. I stand a much better chance, but no guarantee.

Hope you recover for the next one and take care.
