What exactly is a clinical neurophysiologist?

I asked my GP if I could get a 2nd opinion from another neurologist. She sent me a referral and this time it's a neurologist with a speciality in clinical neurophysiology. Too bad he doesn't specialize in ms, but at least it's a 2nd opinion, right?

What exactly does this mean? And is this a positive thing for me?

Neuropsych evaluations and testing is done due to different reasons. I had a neuropsych evaluation/testing due to some serious cognitive problems.

clinical neurophysiology sub specialty is just the study of the function of the nervous system and its living cells. He may have taken more physiology classes specific to neurology in Med school. This is not a bad thing. You can ask him when you see him if he has ever treated an MS patient, but most general neurologists have.

You can always request a referral to an MS specialist instead.
