drop foot n surgery

Has anyone had surgery on the tendons in the foot to bring up your toes so they don't drag

I am scheduled for surgery on Sept 30. I was wondering if anyone has had this procedure and if they was satisfied with the results. I am nervous about having it done. Will it make my quality of life better or will it make my gate worse

Hi Kim. I have never heard of corecting foot drop in this manor. I think this might really work . I'm always tripping with my left foot , so self concious of it, and always with a bad limp. I tried a foot brace but it seemed to be just as much of a hassel. I would be very intrested in knowing how you make out. I'm sure it will take some time to heal and time to see how it works out. If you do go through with this I hope you come back and let us know. Wow!
