Touch.
On the floor.
On my dry scalp.
Gentle.
We prayed.
3 of us. Probably 4.

Life a radio.
That’s my brain.
Cord is there. Myelin is damaged.
Like the plastic chord.

Needs prayer.
Needs faith.
Needs healing.

We prayed.
3 of us. 4. Probably more.
I invited more.
To pray.

From afar. From where they were. On a Wednesday.
For healing.
I am blessed.

It was a Wednesday evening.
It was about my brain.
Like a radio cord.

The setting was tasteful, serene.
There were 4.
I sat on the floor.
She sat behind me. She was on the couch. I was on the floor.
She does cosmotology. In her home.
And we were by the couch.

It was an unusual request. I had asked her.
For touch.
I’d heard, the she does gentle scalp massages.
She was humble. But she said …
“I start every haircut with a scalp massage.”

There were 2 others.
I invited them there. To her home.
She welcomed us. We came.
We prayed.
3 of us. Maybe 4. Maybe more.
