    MRI question

You'd think I'd be a pro at this... going on 10+ years of MS.

But, my question is, when getting MRI - do they also ALWAYS scan the spinal cord too?

Seems like, I only get brain scans, not my spinal cord too. But with new symptoms emerging, I see a scan of my spine in the future.

    Thanks!

They don't always do a spinal MRI too. However, if you are worried about something specifically, you should ask them to do a spinal MRI too that day. Most will go ahead and do it.

Good luck and here's hoping your MRIs look better!

Let us know how it goes!

I get regular brain scans. I have had the other scans in the past, but I've refused to have them done now that I am on Ty, and nothing else can be done even if it shows more lesions.
The length of time for the other scans is miserable.

        this disease is EXHAUSTING!!!!

to follow up, I went and saw my Neuro again, thinking that a MRI of spinal cord was in order, but, he recommends an EMG.

He mentioned that, do I cross my legs, well of course!

Long story short, I'm getting testing done, and will follow where ever it may lead.

I'm just tired! - MS fatigue, MS dizzy, MS this, MS that.

It's flat out exhausting. It's also so nice outside, I wish I could take advantage of it.

I wish I knew how disability benefits are coming along. which reminds me, I should call my lawyer.

Have I mentioned this disease is exhausting!

Sheesh - here's hoping you have a great day.

I have c-spine scans when my neuro suspects new damage, but not just for fun. Yet.

(I actually like MRIs. It sounds like a rave at a construction site, but I go zen and zone out.)
