I have a question about FMLA. I've been on FMLA before my diagnosis because my Dr took me off of work cause I couldn't perform my job but had taken me off for four months so I used up all 12weeks (3months) and he gave me a dr 's note to cover the last month and by then I was able to return to work. Now years later I got diagnosed in the beggining of this year and was taken off of work for about 2 months now and my work wanted me to fill out FMLA paperwork again.
My question is my Dr filled out the FMLA but she provided me with Dr notes to be excused from work for the basically those two months. Does that mean I still have my full 12 weeks since I was given Dr notes to cover my time off or was it used up anyways? Because I want to try and go back to work so my Dr gave me a restricted hours and I might miss days depending how I'm feeling and I want to feel confident that I will still have FMLA to miss days safely to protect my job.
Sorry for the long confusing post.
